Slowly but surely...

the kitchen is getting closer and closer to being a functional kitchen again! I feel like a horse with someone dangling a carrot in front of me! I haven't posted new pics b/c I thought I would wait till the counter tops and appliances were installed BUT since it is taking longer than we thought I  might as well show you pics of the tile floor. Matt and I laid the floor ourselves believe it or not. It was for sure a bonding experience and we were up till 3:30am laying it and then stayed up an extra hour  trying to scrape the adhesive off our skin! Matt for some reason decided to take off his shoes off while we were laying the tile and it looked like he had a shoe sole stuck to the bottom of his feet, not too mention it was all over our hands too! hahaha! So, this is my tip if you ever find yourself laying tile...wear gloves and shoes! ;) I think next time we are going to spend the extra money and pay someone to do it. ha It turned out nice though and last weekend our friends Dustin and Evan came to town for a rugby game and Sunday Matt and Dustin grouted while Evan and me did a little shopping!

We still need to put on the cabinet doors we were missing but I was able to move some things back into the cabinets

LOVE our sink!

Stove Top!

Now, when the counter tops get installed we will have a functional kitchen finally! We will still have work to do after that though such as back splash, lighting, fireplace stone, furniture and the list keeps going! haha! Oh well, at least I will be able to cook AND clean in the kitchen and the big stuff will be done.

Evan and me after the rugby game at Stans

Had to share a pic of Paxton in his Hurley swim shorts that his Uncle and Auntie bought him! He starts swim lessons in a week and will for sure be the coolest baby at the pool! Watch out ladies! ;)

Oh, and on other Pax news he started walking this week!! Getting to be such a big boy! :-)
