CABINETS, CABINETS, CABINETS!!!

Oh the joy!! Our cabinets arrived and have been installed!! woo-hoo!!! Here are some pics....the pictures didn't turn out that great b/c the flash was on and I don't know how to turn it off. ;) So, these will have to do for now. It's starting to look like a kitchen again!!

Our old oven is in there for the time being until our new one comes in and then the installers will come back out to finish off
the oven area once it comes in. The fridge goes one the other side of the oven and then there is the pantry.

We are missing a few doors that they are sending

Here is a sample of our counter top we ordered against a piece of wood from the cabinets

The counter top should be in, in a couple of weeks and this weekend we are going to tile the floor. It's all coming together slowly but surely! :-)

Hope you remembered your green today...

or get ready for some pinches! ;) Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I'm VERY excited today, not just b/c it's St. Patty's Day but b/c our cabinets arrive today FINALLY! I feel like we ordered them YEARS AGO, actually has only been a couple of weeks but I'm a tad bit impatient and Matt will gladly confirm this. ;) They are not getting installed till Monday BUT still one step closer to having a kitchen again!! I'm going 2 weeks with having our kitchen in the garage, cooking outside, and cleaning dishes outside with the water hose and dish soap! I have come to dread dinner time and thinking up a new way of cooking something on the grill BUT I think at the same time I'm getting creative with it! I will appreciate our beautiful new kitchen to the fullest!! Its funny you don't realize how much a kitchen is truly the heart of the home. Even though it may not sound like it but I do embrace this experience. I am very grateful for the house we have and that we are able to make it our own. I wouldn't have it any other way and I can't wait for all the memories that this house will hold for us.

I leave you with a picture of the most adorable totally charming little Leprechaun in the world our nephew Paxton Jay!!

 Irish Prayer

May God give you...
For every storm, a rainbow,
For every tear, a smile,
For every care, a promise,
And a blessing in each trial.
For every problem life sends,
A faithful friend to share,
For every sigh, a sweet song,
And an answer for each prayer.

St. Patty's Celebrations!!!

This past weekend was the St Patty's Day celebration in Dallas. This being one of the funnest days in Dallas that everyone looks forward to all year, Matt and I thought it would be a good idea to have our friends over to the house for breakfast and then cab it to the parade on Greenville Ave since its not far from our house. However, with our kitchen empty and out of order we had to set up a little outdoor kitchen and it worked out great! Here are a couple pictures of the day.

Where did Februrary go?

WOW it seems February flew by! First off, sorry for neglecting to keep up with my blog for the past MONTH!!! To say the least it's been busy at Casa de Sitser! Let me catch you up to speed on what we have been up to.  I have been busy with my job. I switched home health companies in late December and now I'm working for Encompass Home Health as their Area Manager (Sales Rep) for East Dallas territory.  I'm loving it! They had me training in Tyler for a week last month and then the week after I was in Las Vegas for our annual meeting. It was my first time to Vegas but I unfortunately didn't get to see much being in meetings almost the entire time. However, we stayed at Caesars Palace which was really nice and I was overwhelmed how big it was! I got lost a few times! haha! Encompass had a really nice cocktail party/dinner/awards/dancing for us on Monday night which was really a great time! I was glad to get to know some of the other reps better and learned a lot more about the company. It was great time but I was ready to come home. I decided that one day in Vegas is enough! haha!

Me and my roomie Susie about to leave to go to the cocktail party

When I got back to Dallas, Matt and I wasted no time starting the demolish of our kitchen! A few weeks ago we ordered the cabinets and so now was the time to take the old ones out and everything else for that matter to get ready for our new improved kitchen! haha!

Matt scraping up the last of that nasty floor!! HOORAY!!
Matt + sledgehammer = great way to relieve stress after a hard day work! ;)
The aftermath!
Bout to say goodbye to the cabinets!
All gone!! I'm not gonna lie, I kind of freaked out for a second when I saw everything was gone! haha!

Today they are finishing the Sheetrock and some other stuff! haha I can't remember what else they are doing...you'd have to ask Matt that.  I'll take pictures and post for you to see though! I'm hoping when they leave today it will look less like a tornado has hit our kitchen! I'll keep you posted! Thats pretty much been what we  have been up to work and work on the house. However, we did get to see our nephew Paxton one weekend in Hillsboro at my parents. Then, the next weekend we went to Magnolia for Matt's dads birthday and Matt's mom took Amy and myself to see Billy Elliott the play on  Saturday afternoon and it was great!! We really enjoyed it! :)

Pax loved the bubbles!
